What is a RDR Chapter?
A chapter of RareDiseaseRadar is a group of any size from any place looking to make a difference in rare disease awareness and fundraising. These groups can be anywhere from 3-4 people to entire schools or counties. Regardless of the size, these chapters will be crucial to our mission of advocacy and equality. Whether from fundraising, lobbying for policies, writing blog posts, or even just being a part of our mission, these chapters will be committed to service.
About Our Chapters
Setting Up
First, apply using the link at the top of this page. After you do that, we'll reach out to you with more details within a week or so. Once you are approved, find some officers to help you out! Plan out what you are hoping to help with, and once everything is done, start finding members to join your chapter!!
Why Should You Start One?
There are countless benefits and reasons as to why you should start your own chapter. First off, you. can join our collective effort to spread awareness and help those who have rare diseases. In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop key leadership and organizational skills, as well as manage a team. You also will be earning hours of service for your work.
How You Can Promote
You can promote your chapter in so many ways. You could start small, passing out information sheets or telling all your friends to post information on your socials. Once you get some traction, reach out to your school or any officials in your area (if a bigger chapter), and advertise your goals!
